Dear Friends and Neighbors,

What better way to celebrate this Mother's Day than by helping Mother Earth?

We will be expanding the pollinator garden at Little Whitby Meadow on Sunday, May 10, 2 - 4pm.  The purpose of the event is to support the Whitby Meadows Ecological Restoration project, which is being headed up by Audubon Mid-Atlantic. As with the original garden, this expansion is being supported by George Ambrose/the Alliance for Watershed Education.

This event will focus on:
- Planting new native plant species in the plot next to the existing garden
- Extending the "3D" deer fence around the expansion
- Watering the newly planted plants

Please REGISTER here.
When? Sunday, 5/10, 2-4PM
Where? We will meet at the entrance gate to Little Whitby Meadow located here.
- If you are coming from Philadelphia, go to the intersection of Cobbs Creek Pkwy and Whitby Ave. Walk west on Whitby Ave. towards Yeadon. Walk on the south-side of Whitby Ave. because the north-side does not have a continuous sidewalk. After you cross the bridge over Cobbs Creek, you will see a gate on the north-side of the street. Carefully cross the street to the gate.
What to bring? Nothing except your enthusiasm! All equipment, including work gloves, will be provided. It is strongly recommended that you wear (light-weight) long pants, as we will be working in areas with overgrowth, and closed-toe footwear.

Please feel free to email me with any questions at larryco...@gmail.com.

Hope to see you!
