Hello West Philly Residents!

Join a Community Greening Coalition to build a shared vision and Community Greening Action Plan for West Philadelphia. 

We have partnered with three incredible local organizations: Global Thinking Initiatives Inc., the Black Farmers Co-op, and the Cobbs Creek Neighbors. Together, we are looking for 30 West Philadelphia residents to help shape this vision by participating in workshops, community tours, and events from September to December 2025.

What is a Greening Action Plan?

A greening action plan is a guide that explains how a place—like West Philly—can become more environmentally friendly. It includes clear steps to reduce harm to the environment, use resources more wisely, and improve the health of people and the environment. The plan will set goals, list what actions to take, give deadlines, and explain how to track progress.

The application deadline is 29^th August, so be sure to apply before then!

The attached flyer and two-pager should provide sufficient detail, but if you would like to learn more, please feel free to reach out to me. We also have a paper survey for those less comfortable with the online format. I will be more than happy to send you some if needed.
