Thank you for the information we have received in the post today. We do not favour nor support the proposal to have an operating landfill at the above address. Please can we remain connected to the group in order to keep informed, up to date, share information and help as we can to ensure that this application is not successful.

I agree that contacting the council is something we can do and will do. I will write to the CRPA to express our concerns. I wonder if you already have a contact email that you could forward for either of these two groups.

Hi Nicky & Steve

I'll send you an invite to join the Google Group email. Currently the two most important issues are informing the community (tell all friends and neighbours, get on Facebook) and emailing Council to object to the proposals. If enough pressure is exerted on Council then they will be forced either to reject the application or publicly notify it, in the latter case the community can present formal submissions to object (or support) the proposal.  The application is currently being processed on a non-notified basis and, if approved, our only course of action is the environment court via a lawyer. So right now we must individually email and phone Council to object. Council contact details are in the introduction to the email group, also copies of some objection letters. Any problems please let me know.
