Subject: Devotional today
gudmorning Every one,
". . . For whatever is in your heart determines [controls; decides] what you say."Matthew 12:34
Why Did I Say That? I wished I could take the words back as soon as I'd said them. I was
really sorry, but once words are spoken it's too late. The damage is done.
Do you realise there is power in the words you speak? Proverbs 18:21 says, "... the tongue can kill or nourish [cause to grow or increase] life." Words are such powerful things. They bring healing or they bring wounding. They build relationships or tear them down.Like the psalmist, I sometimes ask the Lord to help me control my tongue so that I think before I speak. "Take control of what I say, O LORD, and keep my lips sealed." (Psalm 141:3) But today's verse tells me that the problem of saying bad things isn't really in my mouth - it's in my heart! Do you find yourself saying bad things sometimes? Let's pray about it today. "How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep me from deliberate sins! Don't let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer."
(Psalm 19:12-14)
What is thought in the heart comes out from our physical, speaking, doing, walks, hear, seen…etc… Our body parts are the instruments of the heart, mind. What is thought to be good for sure goodness will be displayed by the instruments. An angry mind gives swearing or fighting eg…
Recognise the Devil tricks in our lives and allow them not to prosper. But be renew in our minds on the thoughts and works of our Lord Jesus as our teacher, and try to live right now.
Love ,
MUM
