Good afternoon Joseph,

 

As we have discussed this morning, we would like to speed up the process of registering the VFCFL this is because we are losing opportunities in terms of funds which are available in SPC and Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA) to support both foreign and local fishermen association.

 

The registration of the fishermen associations in Vanuatu was an initiative recommended by the former Director of Co-op, George Borugu to ensure that Fish Markets such as that at Lakatoro operate legally with the close supervision from the Co-op Dept (Business aspects) and Fisheries Dept (Technical aspects).

 

Appreciate if you could review and comment on the draft attached.
