Gents: let me know when the windtalker setup needs to be tweaked for changes. It seemed things were going a bit too smoothly. Sigh. Best-case would be some kind of temporary pole or stand for the anemometer just up the hill from the present location, while the new stuff is going in, assuming that the project takes months. That would be do-able pretty easily if the vault can stay in place; there's just some low-voltage cables to extend.
If the vault has to come out soon, we'd need a coresponding temporary cabinet at the base of the temporary pole, and a buried extension cord running up to it. I think.
Or perhaps the new construction will only take a few weeks (hope, hope) and we can just live with the out-of-service situation.
The good news is that I have the high-res cameras sorted out, more or less. Nothing installed, but it looks promising.
And, yes, I haven't forgotten that the new setup will need a simple local display for speed and direction. Having a schedule for the construction would help me plan that work - way better to get the mounting for it in place while construction is under way, than after.
