Michael Addison, Ted Nava and I have cooked up an idea for a show of letterpress printed broadsides inspired by the current condition of American politics.
Anna Bermudes has offered us a show this November in the Toolroom Gallery at Bell Arts in Ventura. The space is small (that’s good for us) and not open all the time but has hosted a number of very good show over the years. The opening would be the First Friday of November coinciding with many other art openings in Ventura.
If we accept her offer for November we would have about 2 months to produce work for the show. It is not very much time but I think we should go for it.
-No restriction on size of pieces, number of different pieces you can submit, or edition numbers.
-Framing is not required.
-Everything can be for sale. I’m not sure of the Toolroom terms.
-All letterpress printers in the Coast group and anyone else interested, in our general geographic area, are welcome to participate!!
-Please forward this email to anyone you think would be interested and cc me so I have record.
-The Google Group seems to not be working. Will someone please forward this to Laurie Perry and cc me?
PLEASE write me back ASAP and tell me if you want to participate or not.
Let me hear from you,
Norman
