Solar Energy Campaign Gosol.org/FreeTheSun

Hello,

I'd like to let you know of campaign we have launched over at gosol.org/FreeTheSun. This is a campaign with a goal as big as the energy approach change needed on this planet.

Based out of Finland we are an international team of six different nationalities with unique backgrounds: engineers, mathematicians, writers and environmentalists – from the designer of an open source tractor to an engineer visiting energy companies and projects around the world to the grandson of a solar pioneer, the project is backed by a strong, dedicated and effective team.

Our goal is to enable small scale entrepreneurs and artisans around the world to base their business on an independent, clean and local energy source. Some of GoSol's solar concentrators are already operating in India, Nepal, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, Finland, the United States, Haiti, France, Senegal, South Africa, Mali, etc.

This is a project of particular interest because it can have a real positive impact on the planet, it is adapted to local people and it deals with social realities. It is not a commitment in principle (reduction of CO2 for example) but a real opportunity to give a new possibility to the energy situation in a country like India where 70% of the population is rural. Our hubs are for all these people and similar situations all over the world.

There are many potential perks for those who get involved in the campaign including chocolate bars with cacao roasted by solar ovens and even the possibility of acquiring a solar concentrator.
