Exactly what is the Landmark/Landuse Committee doing regarding this hearing on the Victoria Theater?

Is Betty Dubuisson, Chair of Landmarks going to give testimony?

If so will the testimony be in support of this project or against it?

If she is testifying would it be just personal testimony by the Chairperson since Landmarks of Manhattan Community Board 10 (Central Harlem) has not held any Hearings about the Theater despite Community-At-Large expressions of concern regarding the "carving up" of the theater for a Hotel (Motel ?)/Condominium??? project with questionable impact on the Village of Harlem?

Manhattan Community Board 10 (Central Harlem) has essentially ignored the Community's concern about maintaining the theater as a theater and not changing it into a Hotel (Motel ?)/Condominium???

As you know the public Hearing for the Victoria Development Project was delayed due to Hurricane Sandy.

 

This Monday, December 10th , between 5 and 7:30 PM the public is invited to receive information on and to comment on the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement and its General Project Plan. The Session will be in the Harlem State Office Building 163 West 125^th Street in the 8^th floor meeting rooms.

 

The Development Team and the Harlem Community Development Corporation invite you to attend and to offer supportive comments regarding the project. Please set aside some time and support the project. Speakers can sign up at the door.
