The documentary will be told as a five day road trip, traveling 1142km during the end of Ramadan from the south to the north of the country with the goal to reach Islamabad by Eid (biggest Islamic annual celebration). Embarking on this journey will be 24 year old Australian, Adam who will be following his Pakistani mate Hassan. They will travel from Pakistan’s largest city and financial hub, Karachi through the heart of the country to Islamabad. Along the way Hassan will enlighten Adam about the culture, traditions and religion of Pakistan as well as the corruption that is plaguing this nation, overshadowed by the fears of terrorism and the war it brings.
With a young Australian point of view Adam will experience Pakistan and the people, comparing it to Australia and highlighting the differences between his perception and what he has been told of the country throughout his life and what he discovers on the journey. As Hassan has lived and grown up in Pakistan for 25 years he understands the youths frustrations about the corruption and the politics of the nation but also believes the youth can be the solution.
This documentary will give both the perspective of the youth of Pakistan and the perspective of the youth of the western world, combining their thoughts and ideas about the prominent issues exposed in an entertaining and engaging way with the hope of changing the way people think in both cultures.
