Project Description:
IFES/Pakistan seeks seasoned electoral experts to serve as expert resource in professional development courses for staff of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
IFES and the ECP are hosting a comprehensive series of professional development courses for ECP staff using the industry-standard BRIDGE curriculum. The first phase of these courses in the “Introduction to Electoral Administration module.” Two BRIDGE facilitators will lead the courses, with an electoral expert serving as a resource.
Job Responsibilities:
The role of the expert is to add value to the discussions and other activities that take place during the courses.
Responsibilities:
• The expert will serve as resource for two 5-day professional development courses;
• The expert will be present throughout the courses to contribute to discussions, and provide examples, anecdotes, and other comparative experiences;
• The expert will be asked to present case studies, other short presentations according to their experience, and daily summaries of content; and
• The expert will also work with the facilitators to customize agendas and adjust content to participant needs.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Good training disposition & and commitment to capacity development
• At least 5 years international experience implementing or observing electoral processes across a wide range of countries and environments
• General electoral knowledge including electoral principles, electoral management structures, planning, and voter registration.
