Worst natural disaster in Pakistan
Nearly 14 million affected by floods (UN) Urgent Appeal for TCF Flood Relief
Record breaking rains and floods in northern Pakistan have affected an estimated 14 million people, rendered 2 million homeless, at least 1,600 are dead -- and there is fear of more devastation as the flood waters move south.
Landslides and flash floods have washed away entire villages and destroyed thousands of acres of farmland.

According to UN reports, the human impact and devastation of the floods has exceeded the combined total of the earthquake in 2005, the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004 and the recent Haiti earthquake.
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is mobilizing relief efforts to provide 100,000 relief packs which will contain basic foods for a family of six persons for 30 days, plus water purification kits and basic medicines. Approximately 20 million meals will be provided.
The cost of a relief pack is PKR 2,500 or about $30 US, including cost of transport and distribution.
This is an urgent appeal to TCF supporters.
