Dear CSPS:
Do you know anything about the local candidates* for the May 9 College Station School
Board? Would you like to know their positions on school finance, curriculum issues like evolution and sex ed, the current bond issue, etc?
Do you know anything about the Bond Issue that will be up for approval at this election? (See the attachments).
Good news--CSPS has been invited to co-host a forum to hear the candidates' views on financial and cultural issues and on the Bond issue. Help us make this a success.
Dates:
mid-April = probable date for Forum.
April 27-May 5 = early voting at CS City Hall & CSISD Admin. Bldg. 1812 Welsh
May 9 = Election Day
Please reply by Friday March 27 with your willingness to
--host a table at the forum with CSPS information
--bring a plate of finger foods or drink
--submit questions for candidates

It was great to see Finn, Megan and Andrew this morning!
I'll be happy to bring food, and I'll host the table if you don't get other volunteers. Let me know if there are other things that need to be done. Publicity comes first to mind.
I leave on March 27 to go to North Dakota and Montana, and will be back April 2. My workshops are very far from airports, but along the Amtrak route, so I'm taking the train from Chicago to Seattle and stopping along the way. So right now I'm scrambling to make sure everything is covered for my two classes here...

Sounds like you have great plans lined up. Finn, Andrew, and Meg
(FAM) loved seeing you.
You're right about the publicity--we've got to get the word
out. I've forgotten how to do this, it's been so long. Thanks for
the offer for finger foods. As soon as Bobby Slovak has a place
lined up, we'll know whether they'll let us bring food/drink. I'll
send out emails as I hear more.
