Dear fellow coalians!

Over Christmas, we elected team leaders at coala. They then prepared ideas and

roadmaps for their respective team.

Now the time has come for you to take responsibility and join those teams.

The idea behind the teams is to improve coordination and organisation in coala.

Each team has a focus and works on certain areas of coala. The team leader makes

sure that all team member can work as effective as possible. They plan,

coordinate, and communicate with other team leaders so that the organisation of

work is more distributed. Another idea of the teams is responsibility. While the

leaders are responsible for the organisation part of teamwork, the members can

be responsible for certain projects in the scope of the team. Maybe drafting and

implementing a Code of Conduct, improving the newcomer

documentation or bringing cib to production stage.

If you are a coala maintainer or developer (see this for becoming a developer)

you can apply to one of the six teams with an issue in the teams repository.

A list, including a small introduction can be seen at the teams repository.

Further details and information can be found in the respective directories or by

asking the team leaders on gitter.

You can apply to as many teams as you like but keep in mind that the idea of

team member is to take responsibilities in a team and focus on those aspects

more than on their general coala work. You still can, and are invited to, work

on any part, including other teams domains, of coala. Becoming a member just

declares special dedication to that team's scope.
