Subject: Update from COAL meeting 10/30
To: Lewis John Mcgibbney <lewis.m...@gmail.com>

Hi Dr. McGibbney,

Here is an overview from today's meeting. Please let us know if you have any updates or corrections you would like to add.

Action Items
Dr. McGibbney:
Denim and I created a PR for the issues we were having in attempt to update Tika to 2.0.0. Please let us know your thoughts and Denim and I can further look into it.

Please send your acceptance to jeffrey...@usc.edu for Deliverable #4 (documentation on Automation of Data Acquisition and Crawling) and Deliverable #5 (PR and documentation for automatic download for data from AVIRIS NG).

Also, our team is all available to present the project on Thursday, November 15 around 5pm.

Would you like to set up a meeting for Friday for the status update? If not, please let us know another date that best fits your schedule.

Denim and Kristen:
For Friday, we will take a look at the GDAL parsers in Apache Tika and also see if we can replicate the mapping logic in Java.

Alex and Alexa:
Alexa and Alexa will look into fixing the python data extraction according to your comments. After, they will look into setting up the script for pycoal to automatically run and stage the downloaded files.

We will all work on the release of 0.1 and send you our status update by Friday.

Thank you,
Kristen Cheung

Hi Dr. McGibbney,

Happy Friday!
I wanted to give you a status update on our progress as promised, although I'm sure you have been notified by Github:

Kristen and Denim
We are working on creating the unit test for lat/lon as well as addressing the comments you left on the PR.

Alexa and Alex
Alexa responded to your comments for their PR. They believe they have addressed all of your comments--if you want to take a final look before it is merged.

Also, we would be more than happy to finally meet in person after the presentations. Please note that we are required to stay for all of the group presentations. If that is a problem, we can possibly find another time to meet.

Thank you,
Kristen Cheung

ACK, I
I've also responded indicating this time. I've also added it to my calendar. As I will be at USC, please plan for a small amount of 'social' time afterwards. It would be great to hang out for a short time as I am down there anyways. If not, then that's fine.

It is up to you. If you make progress then yes, if not then we can do next week Monday or Tuesday.
Thanks

All sounds good Folks.
I’ll update Github later today.
I have some business to take care of at 9am this morning which will block me for meeting with the team today. Please let me know another day and time and I will try to make it.
Thanks and excellent work.
