1.The sharks digestive system contains a spiral intestine, gastric artery and vein as well as a rectal gland
2. The shark contains a sinus venosus rather than a heart that contains deoxygenated blood. It as well contains a conus arteriosus.
3. We positioned the shark on it's back
4. The pectoral girdle contains strong cartilage that protects the heart and gills
5. The shark has an atrium just like a human heart does

Esophagus-The connection betw4een the pharynx to the stomach. In the shark the esophagus is very short and wide
Stomach-stomach ends at the pyloric sphincter- a muscular ring which opens or closes the stomach into the intestine
Duodenum-this is short section immediantly cudal from the stomach. receives liver secreations known as bile from the bile duct
Liver-the liver is composed of three lobes, two large and one smaller. The gall bladder is located within the smaller lobe. The bladder stroes the bile secreted by the liver.
Pancreas-divided intot tw parts. Ventral pancreas and dorsal pancreasw
Spiral Intestine-located crankily from the duodenum and distinguished by the extensive network of arteries and veins over it's surface
Rectum-this is the short ended protion of the digestive tract between the intestine and the cloaca. The rectum stores solid wastes
Spleen-located just caudal to the stomach and proximal (before) to the sprial intestine. This organ is not part of the digestive tract, but is associated with the circulatory sysstem.
