Hi, I just upgraded to Fedora 38 and my nvidia drivers are now unfortunatelly disfunct. Have no idea, what could have caused this. I use the nvidia-470xx drivers and they worked fine with Fedora 37. Has anyone a idea, how I might be able to solve this issue? I would be greatful for any help.
Not sure what this means. Which Nvidia drivers were you using before the upgrade? Is the updated system failing to reach the GUI environment? Have you tried (re)installing rpmfusion drivers? It would be helpful to mention your hardware details.
I had somewhat similar issue, and after reinstalling the kernel-core when nvidia drivers were used again it became pretty unstable: gdm login screen was not displaying properly (just a blurred background and no mouse response)
,My laptop model is Acer Nitro 5. I am facing issue with this intel driver so that my secondary graphics (Nvidia) is also not detecting due to this driver . I think this driver is related to graphics card. I have rolled back to win10 from win 11 whether to check if any windows issue , but after installing win10 also my issue is not resolved. Please provide me any solution.
I do not know if it is the same model but mine has a 1650ti and intel i5 10300h inside of it. My graphics card also seems to delete itself from my computer every time I have a problem with this exact same driver. This happens every single time i try to launch a game. After launching the game, my laptop will blue screen and delete my graphics card from the display adapters and have the same symbol over the PCIe controller. Sometimes after disabling and re-enabling the PCIe controller it'll keep my graphics card for a short amount of time after launching a game, and then blue screen again with the same problem with the PCIe controller.
I need help because this has been happening for over a week. I have rebooted, cleaned all drives etc. but nothing is helping.
If you could help me with this problem it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks-
Jakoby Herrick
Hello, is there any chance you will be able to help these 5+ people? I reinstalled windows several times and still have the issue. It fixes itself every time I reload the laptop and appears again after 30 min of gaming.
Also, I did "msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic" and now it says I have a driver problem but after troubleshooting second time it says the same thing. Is the graphics card absent because of it?
Hello,
May I know which country you purchased your laptop from?
Is your unit still under warranty?
Please let me know if the windows installation works.
I knew the SSD was faulty due to the bluescreen error codes I was given.

I reinstalled new plain windows today and I just encountered the same issue. So as I understand it is a hardware issue but I don't want to give it out to some random service to troubleshoot cause they will charge me a lot. They took 80$ to reinstall my own windows lol. Could you recommend me how to find the problematic device?
It looks like this: I play a game, it freezes and just turns transparent, I reload the laptop and cant find the graphics card in the list of devices. By the way would like to mention that right after I installed the new windows I didn't see the PCIe controller in the device manager.
The reason that I am saying that I don't want to had it out is because I am an electromechanical engineer and find myself capable of fixing the hardware but I don't know what exactly should I fix. Also, do you know if they will charge me more if in they stated that the problem was fixed but it appears to have no influence.
Hello,
I had every problem you have just listed, error codes, and pci express port exclamation alike.
I do not know what you can look for specifically on the hardware, but if there is anything that sticks out to you on the SSD I would recommend replacing it. My problem was that a part of the SSD was faulty, resulting in my problems. This is all I remember from the Job report.
I can have a look at how Acer identified the problem on my job report when I get home, but in the meantime, I will be at school for about 2 more hours.
Thank you,
Jakoby
7]Yes, I updated bios version and after that I have faced wifi driver issue and pcie controller issue so that I contacted acer customer care, they told me to downgrade windows. So I downgraded windows version from win 11 to win 10.
First, we just wanted to mention, that it is great to know that the issue got fixed automatically and that the Nvidia graphics card and the rest of the components are now properly detected on your machine.
In reference to your request about what happened with your device, it is difficult to identify for sure the source of the issue. The SSU report is not a diagnostic tool, the information that it provides is basically model numbers and how the parts are being recognized by the system. In this case, the problem could be related to, BIOS settings, the Windows* version being used, Windows* updates, driver updates, or even the connection or the assembly of the parts. For example, if by any chance the Nvidia graphics card is not properly attached to the board, through the PCIe port, it will not be recognized and you will see this error message on "Device Manager" related to Intel Pcie controller x16-1901, but still, it is difficult to be able to determine that for a fact unless a physical inspection of the computer is done.
It is very unlikely for the issue to come back again. It is important to mention, that we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform. Accroding to the SSU report, currently, the graphics driver version on your system is 27.20.100.8280 provided by Acer.
As you can see in the link below, there are a lot of graphics driver versions provided by Acer, both for Intel and Nvidia. That means your platform is working with a hybrid graphics configuration. The latest one for Intel is version 1952.14.0.1470 from 2020/12/11:
Still, at this point, since the laptop is working properly, we recommend to keep using the computer as it is, to follow the recommendations provided by Acer, even though Windows* 11 seems to be fully compatible, making sure the latest BIOS version is currently installed, and to use their graphics drivers for the proper functionality of the computer.
I have the same issue with the "Intel(R) PCIe Controller (x16)" , which in result crashed my nvidia gpu whenever I tried to use it...Sir I will attach a SSU file here as well; I hope that you would help me to solve this issue. On a side-note I have been having this issue for nearly 4 months as I can recall.

A driver update can bring mostly performance optimizations that may allow you to gain a few extra MH/s from your card or remove software LHR limitations. For new graphics cards, a driver update may be necessary for the card to be properly detected at all.
If the worker is running stably, then you may not want to update the drivers at all. However, if you want to take advantage of new features, it's worth doing an update once every few months. In Hiveon OS you can update the whole system image to the latest stable version with the command hive-replace -l and forget about the drivers. This way, you will also gain access to new system features and update the kernel.
Starting from the version 0.5-70, we integrated a script into the operating system that makes it possible to install the most current and efficient NVIDIA drivers, which can be activated in two ways: using the Hiveon OS web interface or via an SSH connection:
If it doesn't work at all and you get errors like "Unload modules failed" (or something similar), you can try to enable maintenance mode without loading drivers, reboot and repeat the update procedure.
Hiveon OS updates come with new versions of AMD drivers. You can update the AMD drivers by updating the image to the version you want. You can find detailed instructions here. We do not recommend performing a HiveOS AMD driver update independently.
Video card driver is a software that enables your computer to communicate effectively with your graphics card. Therefore, they are very important in cryptocurrency mining. They enable the GPUs to be detected and used for cryptocurrency mining. In Hiveon OS, we include them in the system image, so you don't need to install them separately. The system also helps you update NVIDIA drivers separately with a simple, dedicated nvidia-driver-update command.
