Hello CO 9-1-1 Task Force GIS Committee and ESInet Users Group stakeholders -

The webinar invite below might be a good opportunity for you and/or your GIS partners to learn more about the nuances of maintaining PSAP and GIS Authoritative boundaries for NG9-1-1 service.

Also, we're hoping to partner with 9-1-1 GIS services vendors for one or more seminars this year about the new NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Transition guidance document, including how it relates to the NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model and NG9-1-1 Civic Location Data Exchange Format (CLDXF-US) Standard; possibly in the afternoon after Task Force meetings.

Best,

Matt Goetsch, Director, 970-240-1458, mgoe...@metsa911.org

Join Us For An Educational Webinar On NG9-1-1 Boundaries

Emergency call routing relies on accurate, authoritative PSAP boundaries to route calls for NG9-1-1. However, PSAP authorities have a unique challenge in identifying what is authoritative. Join us as we discuss these challenges and why boundaries require thoughtful consideration and extensive discussion before implementing them to route calls.

We will discuss:

  • What are boundaries?
  • Required and strongly recommended boundaries for NG9-1-1
  • Who manages boundaries?
  • Common challenges
  • What to remember when developing and assessing boundaries
  • Tools and solutions for successful boundary management
