Software Configuration Manager/Tools Engineer

Sybase, Inc.'s InterConnect Division is seeking a Software Configuration
Manager/Tools Engineer to support a large product group that engineers Data
Movement and Replication products in Boulder Colorado. This position will
require an experienced individual who is looking for a relaxed professional
environment, enjoys task variety outside the normal SCM role, who can support
multiple development groups and projects, and is comfortable working closely
with a small, tightly knit SCM group. This role consists of tactical
configuration management duties, contributing to long-term configuration
management projects (such as remote source code management and sharing), and
programming tools evaluation, selection, or development.


Requirements:
Experience Desired:

3-5 years experience in a configuration management role, preferably supporting
multiple, and simultaneous development efforts. Experience in a product
development group is highly desirable, with Windows NT client and UNIX server
platforms. Experience with ClearCase Configuration Management Tool, or
experience with two or more other UNIX based SCM tools is essential. Experience
with Hummingbird, PCX or other UNIX windowing tools is highly desirable. Along
with these general requirements we would like to find someone with knowledge of
as many of these is desirable:

Configuration Management
· Revision Control
· SDLC Process Control
· Promotion Process
· Software Builds
· Configuration Control Boards
· Integrated Bug Tracking

OS Skills
· Knowledge of Solaris, HPUX and/or AIX including NFS, kernel and scripting
knowledge
· Knowledge of Windows NT is helpful

Programming
· Perl and /or C Scripting
· Knowledge of commercial SDLC vital
