Hi Guys,

Below is the attached message from Classic Cycle parts.

They open to set up at 7am.  ouch.  And want everyone ready at 830.

I got the tent off Tom today and a couple of tables.  The plan for now is that I will show up and pile everything into our spot and pass out sleeping until one of you shows up at a reasonable time (10 am?) and wakes me up....preferably by pouring coffee into my snoring maw....

I plan on taking off Friday to get things together organizationally, if you want you could drop parts off at my house and then you can be free Saturday, to ride over on your bike, which also let's you head to pinned at the same time and get the free admission for being mounted.

Matt, I know you offered a couple of tents too, but wasn't sure if they would fit inside of a two car spot.

I am planning on taking some construction plastic sheeting to lay parts on on the ground which can also double as an emergency rain tarp if it rains.  As of now I have three tables, two smaller ones (thanks Tom Graham) and  six foot one.

I am going to borrow my friend's Venture to cart everything over.

If you do bring parts put masking tape labels or something with price wanted and name so we can keep that straight.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Josh

Hello, Vendors!

The Swap Meet is still ON for this Saturday. It’s looking like we may get some light rain early in the morning, but nothing after that, however, the forecast has been changing daily, so we would recommend bringing a tent (and some sort of weights) if you have one.

Attached is a map of our complex – please take a look. The Blue area on the map is where we will be setting up for the Swap Meet. When you arrive, we will let you which spots you have (they will be numbered), and you can begin to unload.

The starting load-in time for the Swap Meet is 7:00 am; you may pull cars and trailers up in the pink area on the map, labeled “Customer Parking”, in order to unload until 8:30am, when you will need to move to the yellow “Vendor Parking” area behind our building.

The Swap Meet will start at 9:00am, so please be ready by that time.

If for some reason you cannot make the event, please email us at this email address to let us know.

We look forward to see you this Saturday! Please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Thanks,

Thomas Andrews

Congratulations!

We have chosen you to participate in our upcoming Swap Meet on Saturday, May 14th (*Rain Date: Saturday, May 28th [see below]) from 9am to 3pm. We are VERY excited to get the ball rolling on this event, as we had successful weekend when we did this a few years ago.

There is some very important information in this email, as well as some important documents (one which needs to be signed and returned to us), so please be sure to hold onto this email for the event.

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Ø    Set-up time will begin at 7am and go until 8:30am on the day of the event. Please have all of your goods unloaded by 8:30am, as we will be asking any vendor cars to clear out and move to designated vendor parking spots (more info below) to begin to make room for customers. Please be sure to be ready for sales at 9am.

Ø    Vendors should be prepared to stay for the entirety of the Swap Meet (unless you have completely sold out, but no vehicles will be permitted in the Swap Meet area or Customer parking area during Swap Meet hours).

Ø    Vendors will be assigned spaces (please stay tuned for more info, but we will have this info day-of as well as a reminder), so please be sure to keep your booth setup within this designated area.

Ø    The Swap Meet will end at 3pm, and all vendors must vacate the premises by 5pm.

Ø    Please do not leave anything behind in your booth area, be it parts, trash, etc., and please make sure to put something under any leaky parts or bikes, so that we do not leave a mess for our neighbors, who are generously allowing us to use their parking spaces during this time.

Ø    Please see the attached document titled, “Swap Meet Release of Liability.pdf”. This document is required to be signed in order to participate in the Swap Meet. Please fill out and sign the form and return it to us via email (he...@classiccycleparts.com) by Monday, May 2nd, or you will not be permitted to participate in the Swap Meet. Once we receive your signed document, we will reply to let you know. If you have a group of 2 or more people, one person can sign to represent the entire group.

Ø    We have also attached a PDF called, “Example-Pack-List.pdf” of a few things you may want to take with you for the day of the Swap Meet.

Ø    Please also see the attached “SWAP-MEET-MAP.jpg” for permitted parking areas. Vendors are permitted to park in the pink “customer parking” area during loading and unloading, but must move to the yellow “vendor parking” area in the rear of our building by 8:30am, and will not be permitted back into the pink area until 3:00pm once the swap meet has ended. NO parking will be permitted at any time in the blue “swap meet” area.

Ø    Vendors’ Licenses are HIGHLY recommended. If you do not have one, please see below.**

* “Rain Date”: Classic Cycle Parts will be open on May 14th, rain or shine. Vendors will be able to make their own call as to whether they decide to show or not in the event of unfavorable weather. We strongly encourage the use of pop-up tents (with weights!) in the event of a little bit of rain, as I’m sure you know, Ohio weather can change in the blink of an eye. Depending on the weather and vendor turn-out, we may make the call to have another Swap Meet Date on the 28th. If that is the case, we will be contacting you to let you know.

** To obtain a vendor's license, go to tax.ohio.gov; then go to the business link; then, go to the section called "Other" and click that. You will see "vendors license: Transient vendors one ST1-T". Cost $25. You can also visit the Department of Taxation in the Rhodes Tower in downtown Columbus and take care of that business in person. Ohio law requires any person or business making retail sales of tangible personal property or taxable services to register for the sales tax by obtaining a vendor’s license. Classic Cycle Parts is not legally responsible for vendors who do not hold a vendor's license.

We have also created a Facebook event for the Swap Meet: https://www.facebook.com/events/983285645101357/

Please invite your friends and promote the event! J

Lastly, we have attached the event poster/flyer as well as a square-shaped one for Instagram – please feel free to share and promote the event!

We are really excited for the Swap Meet and are hoping for an awesome turn out!

If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Thanks!

They can't be serious....

This smells more and more like they just want to pick over everyone's stuff before anybody else gets there.

I will try to make it down there with my stuff by 8:00. I was hoping to bring my 750 to sell so I might be running back and forth.

Doesn't sound any different than the swap meet at VMD. Vendors get in early to set up before the swap meet opens. They also get first pick at the best deals that way.

I'll meet you guys there on Saturday morning. I'm just going to bring a box o' parts, unless I start feeling really masochistic and want to manhandle one of the 400F motors into the back of my car.

I'll toss one of the tents in the back of the car as well, just in case.

I'll probably arrive early, 7:00 or so, and leave early, 9:15 or so, and can help set up. I have Tom's XS1100 (I think) brake rotors to drop off. I didn't think I was going to be able to go as I forgot about a dentist appointment for tomorrow morning. I don't wan't to do a late cancellation, especially since the dentist is my cousin. Also, I spent most of last weekend out of town, and my wife won't be happy if I spend another weekend away from her doing motorcycle stuff. She's going to dinner tonight with a couple of her friends, so I guess she didn't miss me that much!

Hey Wade,

If all you are going to the swap meet for is those old rotors, forget it. Drop them in a recycle bin.

Is the appt. in Columbus? You could ride an extra bike of mine to the Pinned show. The Ferrari/CT-70 is gassed and ready for battle if you're man enough.  :-)

I wanted to at least make an appearance, and if nothing else, have donuts & coffee & chat a little. The rotors are just coming along for the ride. Maybe you can make a little beer money on them.

The appointment is in Reynoldsburg. I'm afraid my wife has plans for me the rest of the day. :-(
