CFBNY is taking on the promotion of an Independent Redistricting Commission for New York State
Such a Commission must be established by the State Legislature in its coming 2011 session if it is to be in effect for the 2012 redistricting cycle. Failure to so so will subject us to 10 more years of gerrymandered districts, the
shapes of which you may not even imagine.
To promote this effort we have prepared an excellent power point presentation which has received rave reviews. But it needs to be seen by as many people as possible and to do this, we need gigs! As a supporter of CFBNY, we are asking for your help. If you are a member of any group from a PTA, through service clubs, to political action groups - and all others in between - let them know of the availability of this free presentation and strongly urge them to book us. Just have them send an inquiry to redist...@cfbny.org and we'll do the rest.
And while you're at it.......
Mark your calendars!

Tell your legislators to pass the bills calling for a referendum to have a limited Constitutional Convention with delegates who cannot double dip and limiting the eligibility of politicians and political insiders.
Please pass this email to your groups. We welcome their participation.
We appreciate your caring, and all that you do.
