Hi Everyone,

Long-time no post.

Been a busy few months as I am sure for many of you. For me, BEST,
CEO forum, a conference presentation, family and of course work :) .

If you attended the BEST awards than you got a chance to see President
& CEO of ASTD Tony Bingham present on Informal and Social
Learning...right up our ally eh? (he led an intimate CEO forum the
following day - amazing! can't wait to share the details of that with
you all...I'll try to post soon).

So, hot of the heels of his BEST presentation I want to get you
thinking a bit more about one of the most talked about tools -
Twitter. Of course stereotypes still persist and many of you don't
have an account yet, some do but still reluctant to dive in to deep.
But for many I think it comes down to two issues: Time & Value. As
in Where do I find the time to Tweet and what's in it for me if I do?
Fair questions for sure.

Simply put, the value comes when you put in the time. It has to be
part of your PLS (uh-oh a new acronym...) PLS - Personal Learning
Strategy. How do you grow in your professional knowledge? We attend
conferences, Webinars, read periodicals & books ...and now... we build
bridges to experts and practitioners through Social Media.

Do you have a Twitter account? If yes, do you Tweet with any
consistency?

If your on the fence, over the fence but not quite planted on the
other side then this 39 self-paced Slideshare may be for you.

Check it out, click through and let me know what you think.

ps. Also take a peek at Candyce's post from earlier this month... I
would like to wrap our next meeting around a Webinar so we all have a
common point of entry.

All the best,

Mark
