Happy day after
valentine's day! Check out this article written by Marcia Connor (she is
co-authoring a book with Tony Bingham) and she is a member of our SILSIG.
I've been in contact with Marcia and Jane Bozarth (they are moderators of
#lrnchat) about how "traditional trainers" might utilize SM. Jane has
a book coming out this summer on SM and Training.
One of the most
frequent comments I hear is "I don't have time to check one more thing" and
you're right we can feel overwhelmed with having to check our personal email,
our work email, our post office mail and that is exactly how I felt when I
first started using Twitter, but I don't check IT, I go there when I want to
PULL information from it, when I need information and know that I can spend time
googling until I get to where I want to be or I can tweet and am apt to get the
information within seconds or minutes because I'm drawing from a pool
of people who have common interests or common experiences and have done the
leg work for me or are the 6 degrees of separation (the Human Web, wikipedia)
from someone who has.
