The announcement of OASAS’s budget briefing is below. We hope that every coalition member of ASAP is able to have a representative at this briefing. Ashley and I will prepare a summary for distribution to those unable to attend. If you have any problem registering for the Briefing, please let us know.
In addition to the OASAS budget, we will be paying close attention to the DOH budget this year. The 2013-14 proposed budget contains language that moves the Medicaid functionality currently housed at OASAS (rate setting etc) over to DOH. This move is reflected in the OASAS and DOH budgets. Managed care and BHO language is also in the DOH budget. We will be working closely with our policy consultants at Brown and Weinraub to stay on top of these shifts.
