2010年7月6日，美国Terrafugia公司制造的陆空两用变形车。美国航空主管部门日前开启绿灯，允许这种会飞的新型汽车投入商业性生产。这种会飞的汽车能在30秒内完成从汽车到飞机的变形，驾驶员“足不出车”即可完成操作。该汽车由曾在美国宇航局供职的工程师设计，美国马萨诸塞 州Terrafugia公司制造。处于“汽车模式”时，其时速可达145公里；双翼展开进入“飞行模式”后依靠推进器作用，速度可达185公里，加满一次 无铅汽油可飞行805公里。双翼折叠后，可以在普通车库停放。
