Dear IEEE Students:
I'm looking for a few students who would be interested in helping out
a group of local high school students and their mentors with the
programming of an unmanned aerial vehicle.
The group is preparing to participate in a college-level competition
in July 2013. They have participated in that competition for the past
few years, and they are actually the only high school team among a
group of very reputable universities (such as Embry Riddle, Rutgers,
Cornell, Bucknell, ...). Their mentors are professionals in the field
of aircraft technology, helicopters, and UAVs, and some of them have
flown RC planes for many many years. They have a lot of experience
with aviation technology, but not so much with programming.
Therefore, they thought it would be great if CNU could team up with
them and form a college/HS team. And then beat all the other big
universities... Well, I can dream, can't I?! :-)
Here is a link to the 2012 competition:

Also, they would like to have a CNU student accompany the group to a
luncheon with the sponsors at Langley. I think it's on the 17th.
Please, let me know if you're interested.
