Dear CNU IEEE/ACM Students:

Welcome back! I hope you had a great summer and you're now looking forward to a productive new academic year.

Please, read the following message and consider volunteering for this event. I think this is a tremendous opportunity to network with professionals in the area. Helping out at this event can provide you with extremely valuable contacts.

If you're interested, let me know. Maybe we can coordinate some car pooling. Also, as a group, it would be even more fun.

Best,
  Anton Riedl

Students this is a great opportunity to help with an IEEE conference.  A great learning opportunity, networking with professional volunteers,
This is a glimpse into what you can expect at any IEEE conference, and all it costs is a little of your time.

As most know, the international OCEANS'12 MTS/IEEE Conference is being held
in Hampton Roads at the Virginia Beach Convention Center from October
14th-19th.  OCEANS'12 details are available at the conference website (
//www.oceans12mtsieeehamptonroads.org/).  Based on registrations to date, we
are anticipating that more than 200 exhibitors and over 2,000 conference
participants will be in attendance.  As you can imagine, it will take many
volunteers to ensure an event of this scope and complexity runs smoothly.
The OCEANS'12 Executive Planning Committee is asking that you consider
volunteering for one or more of the positions described in the attachment. A
volunteer schedule is also attached indicating volunteer positions and
days/times/numbers needed. Benefits for volunteers will include admission to
the conference and free meals on all days worked.  If interested, please
provide the following information to Tom Bosse (email: teb...@aol.com)
before September 15th:

* Name

* Organization/Affiliation

* Phone Number

* Email Address

* Volunteer Position or Positions of Interest

* Days / Time Periods that can be supported (selected from the attached
volunteer schedule)

Note: Extensive training will be provided for volunteers supporting
registration and technical sessions prior to the conference, so priority
will be given to those who can support more than one day of the attached
volunteer schedule in those areas.

Confirmation of all OCEANS'12 volunteer assignments will be provided to
those who respond no later than September 21st.  If you have any questions,
please contact Tom Bosse by email (teb...@aol.com) or phone (757-853-2513).
