All,

would it be possible that some of you come to my two Engineering 121
classes and talk about the two clubs?
I have a lot of freshmen in these classes, and it would be great if we
could get a few of them involved.

Also, there will be three IEEE Hampton Roads meetings at CNU this
fall, for which it would be great if we could have some students
present. It's a good way to network and to show that our IEEE student
chapter is active. Please, watch out for announcements.

Finally, I'm afraid we'll have to make sure that our IEEE paperwork is
all in order this year. Otherwise we might lose our official IEEE
student chapter status. Please, send me email so we can set up a
meeting.

Best,
Anton Riedl

You guys should be going to Eng 121, CPSC 125 and CPSC 150 classes (maybe CPSC 250).

I have recreated the ieee web site.  There will no longer be a link for user to sign up(an admin will have to create an account for you) because even with captas enabled we still had over 1000 bad accounts registered last year.  I am using the IEEE web site to document my knowledge, so the student chapters don't loose it.  I gave Austin a Log In,  Who is the head of the IEEE so I can set them up an account too.

Also, I noticed one of the projects was to redo the honor bar debt board.  Who ever is in charge of that project, send me an e-mail and I'll discuss the current set up as well as other options for redoing it.

Also, I believe myself and Chris Hewet are the only two active admins on this mailing list.  I'd like to get a student involved.  At your next meeting pick at least one student to admin the mailing list.  This job takes less than 10 minutes a week and is not very hard, but it does, at times, require good judgement

Enjoy the semester!

Former head person of the IEEE student chapter
