"AKA Science is a fun, interactive after school science program for students in kindergarten through 6th grade. Kids participate in hands-on activities and experiments that nurture their curiosity and help them explore the world around them. AKA Science uses structured yet playful activities to get kids excited about learning. Students are asked to think about how things work—and they discover that science is fun!" -ImpactNW AKA Science description.

This Winter term position will run from January 12-March 5, 2015. We have 3 AKA Science classes that we are in need of instructors:

Monday, 3:15-4:30, K-3 Body Worlds. Science says....point to your brain hat! You'll also make a stethoscope, flex your silly muscles and walk away with a whoopie whistle.

Salary / Pay Rate: $11-13/hour

Camp-In Assistant
On-Call 19 hours or less per week

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is seeking multiple on-call Camp-In Assistants to be responsible for several aspects of the Camp-In Program, including: workshop set up, greeting of campers upon arrival, meal preparation, distribution and clean up. Assistants are also responsible for supervision of campers, overnight and morning duties, and dismissal.

Salary / Pay Rate: $9.25 - $10.00 per hour

Want to gain skills in watershed restoration? Interested in planning and implementing your own restoration project? Join the 2015 Urban Watershed Mentor Program.

West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District, in partnership with Tryon Creek Watershed Council, Southwest Watershed Resource Center, Tualatin River Watershed Council and the West Willamette Watershed Partnership, are launching a series of trainings directed at interested volunteers and landowners to foster the creation of knowledgeable and engaged watershed leaders.
