position summary:

The Program Coordinator is a key role within Gorge Owned. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director and other staff to achieve the organization’s strategic goals related to promoting sustainable practices in the Gorge.
The Program Coordinator will focus on two main program areas:
•GO! Solar: This is a pilot project launched in June 2014 with support from a Northwest Solar Communities grant designed to increase the number of grid-tied residential solar systems installed in the Gorge. The Program Coordinator plays a lead role in implementing and evaluating this program.

Salary / Pay Rate: $12-$14/hour

Dear FACT Families, Friends, and Community Partners,

The changing colors in the leaves, the crisp air, boots, scarves, and gloves all indicate that we are approaching an end of another year. In the midst of this change of seasons, there is a lot of change occurring in the systems supporting individuals experiencing disability and their families.

The Habitat for Humanity Store is looking for individuals to help us do a once-over on the store and catch up on some lingering projects that help keep our store looking its best! Connect with other volunteers from the community, learn a little bit about Habitat for Humanity and the Store mission, and see all the exciting (and sometimes odd or unreal) donations that come to our store every day.

Do you enjoy working with youth, the outdoors and science? Join SOLVE!

SOLVE’s Green Team is a K-12 program that works with several schools in the Portland Metro area each year. We currently have a few openings for Volunteer Youth Leaders to assist SOLVE Staff in the field as we guide students through outdoor activities that combine service with science education. Activities surround a variety of watershed restoration projects this Fall, Winter and Spring. Dates and locations vary and you can come as often as you like; there are both half day and full day opportunities currently available. Most project locations are accessible by public transit.

Connect with Seniors as a Grocery Order Taker

Store to Door has an immediate opening for a weekly volunteer Order Taker. Put your phone skills to work to connect with local seniors and people with disabilities who rely on our services to maintain their independence. We're looking for a dedicated grocery Order Taker to make calls every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm in our nice SW Portland office. Join our fabulous team of volunteer callers to make sure that clients get the groceries and medications they'll need for the week. Training is provided. Interested?
