Justice-Centered LCSW Group Supervision

Can you imagine your social work practice as a tool of liberation?

Justice Centered Social Work: Although mainstream social work often speaks the language of social justice, our aim often falls short of our values when we begin to look critically at our participation in systems that systemically perpetuate oppression. For those of us committed to justice and equality, and who practice social work because of a specific commitment to justice, it is important for us to ask ourselves how we want the profession to continue to develop and grow–and how our practice can support this intention. It is also important that we do this work in community and with support.
