motiveSpace Coalition seeks dedicated office support!

The motiveSpace Coalition is a nonprofit group of progressive architects, builders, developers, and neighbors in Portland, Oregon. We are coming together to research and catalyze innovative, bottom-up, non-speculative strategies for sustainable property development. In particular, we are interested in collaborative, cohousing, and cooperative development as viable and healthy models within our current economic crisis.

We are excited to move forward and begin our work as we seed the Coalition, and move into its first year. We are applying for funding but are currently all-volunteer powered, and all community-sponsored. The Cube Space on Grand Ave has generously donated office space, Free Greek has provided computers and tech support, and other local groups are dedicating their time, supplies, and services to help move this discussion forward.

Now we need your help! We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to devote at least 10 hours a week to misc. office support. We really need help with filing, organization, data entry, phone calls, and basic research. We would like to find help from someone who thinks they might be able to stick with us, and a predictable schedule, for a while.

If you are interested in these issues and don’t mind helping with some grunt work, this could be a great time to learn who is building Portland, and how to get involved!

Drop me a note at sa...@motivespace.org, or call 503.206.3344. Tell me a little about yourself, and what kind of time you think you might have to help out…. and thanks for your interest!

All the best, Sara
