position summary:

In partnership with the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI), Ecotrust is working to conduct a one-year feasibility assessment that will:

1) gather information about the economic development needs of Tribes and Native American communities in the Pacific Northwest, and
2) explore one possible solution to these needs in the form of a model that would match early-career Native American professionals with organizations where they could learn and put into practice skills that are relevant to the needs of their communities.

OMSI Exhibit Research & Development Research Assistant Internship - Grant Writing

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking an Exhibit Research & Development Research Assistant Intern to assist with grant writing. This is an unpaid position which may be completed for school credit. It offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the exhibit research and development process at OMSI through a Research Assistant role. This position is available immediately, and will remain open until filled.

Internship Summary:
The Exhibit Research and Development Research Assistant Intern assists the R&D Strategist in the development of federal grant proposals.

OMSI Curriculum Internship

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a Curriculum Intern. This is an unpaid position which may be completed for school credit. It offers the successful candidate a unique opportunity to be involved in curriculum development in an informal science education setting. This position is available immediately, and will remain open until filled.

Internship Summary:
The Curriculum Intern works with OMSI's Curriculum Developer to update OMSI's large collection of programs. The intern will work with OMSI education staff to document these programs in a sharable template. This may include background research on a variety of subjects, aligning programs with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and editing/proofing documents.

Living Earth’s Winter Warming Project is accepting NEW, handmade items to help keep our community warm, through Jan. 15.

Winter goes on long past the bright bustle of the holiday season, so if you sew, knit, or crochet, keep your fingers busy and your heart engaged. You can drop something newly homemade into our drop baskets at these locations:

- These New Seasons Markets: Sellwood, Hawthorne, 7 Corners/Division, Happy Valley, and Fisher’s Landing/Vancouver.

AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leader

Responsibilities:

·         Assist the site supervisor and director of construction in day-to-day construction activities, i.e.; all aspects of construction, trouble-shooting mechanical problems, tool and site organization, picking up materials and supplies for job site, site clean-up and maintenance, and assisting skilled trades people. 

·         Lead volunteers and homeowners on construction tasks; teach complex construction techniques in an empowering and accessible way while maintaining compliance with Habitat safety protocols at the build site.
