Free Repair Cafe in NE Portland on Sat, 12/13/14

The next Repair Cafe is on Saturday, 12/13/14 at the Hollywood Senior Center.This is a free event, open to the public, from 12-3 p.m.Hollywood Senior Center, 1820 NE 40th Ave, Portland, OR 97212.

Volunteers will be fixing bikes, small appliances, computers, and mending garments. Plus there's a toy hospital to repair gifts for the holidays!

Position: This is a 3-5 hour/week position overseeing the social media presence for a small wellness practice (http://joyfulawakeningpractice.com/) dedicated to building skill and community around anti-oppressive, intentional social work practice while contributing to a culture of fat and body positivity, queer/trans* wellness, trauma and addiction resiliency, radical mental health, liberatory health, self-love, holistic/embodied wellbeing and radical self-care. The resiliency blogger will oversee Facebook and other social media postings in alignment with the values and politics of the wellness practice.

The Executive Assistant/Office Manager will be responsible for the administrative and organizational management of the office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks, will be exceedingly well organized and flexible, and will enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and programs. This individual must be able to function effectively in a variety of roles within a dynamic environment under minimum supervision. This position includes some overnight travel, including weeknight and weekend events.

Development Committee Chair

The Aloha Community Library Association is seeking a volunteer Development Committee Chair.  The Chair will develop and maintain a fundraising and development plan for our growing nonprofit community library.  The Chair will actively grow income sources using a broad mix of development methods; oversee a donor recognition and appreciation program; schedule and facilitate monthly committe meetings; and work with the Finance Committee to develop an annual budget. 

Required skills:

- Basic understanding of development and fundraising.

- Basic understanding of budgeting and financal planning.

Time commitment: An average of six hours per month.
