Plant trees this Saturday morning (11/22) in Tualatin with Friends of Trees!

Do you like getting your hands dirty?  Meeting great new people?  Or making a lasting difference in the community in just a few short hours?  Friends of Trees is calling on all volunteer tree planters to plant trees at Brown’s Ferry Park in Tualatin this Saturday!  No RSVPs or experience is necessary.  Simply show up and help us plant native trees and shrubs!  This planting will run from 9am-1pm.  Friends of Trees provides gloves, tools, planting guidance, as well as free coffee/tea/hot chocolate and light breakfast refreshments.  Come one, come all!

Come out and participate in Hands On Portland's annual Family Volunteer Day on Saturday, November 22. There are several awesome, family friendly events to help out with, and all families are welcome! Volunteering as a family is fun, teaches the value of giving back to the community, and provides opportunities for family members to be positive role models.

Get Out and Garden for Family Volunteer Day! (age 10+)

Come help out at the Portland Community Gardens on Saturday, November 22 from 9:30 AM-12:00PM for Hands On Portland's annual Family Volunteer Day! Join your community members and fellow plant enthusiasts for a few hours of playing in the dirt as we provide a little loving care to one of the 50 gardens run by Portland Community Gardens.

Volunteers Needed 2-3 hours a month

As we begin a time of seasonal cold temperatures and the busy Holiday Season when people get busy and schedules change   - we at the Family Promise homeless shelter for families with children need extra volunteers (at the Shelter house and at hosting congregations to support keeping the shelter open, providing activities for kids, and adminitrative assistance (and weekend shifts).

Please open your hearts and give a couple hours this holiday season to doing us a favor - Attend our Volunteer Recruitment and Orientation on Tuesday, November 25th and learn how to make a difference in th lives of homeless families wiht children.

Invasive Removal Work Party - Tryon Creek Watershed Council

Tryon Creek Watershed Council invites you to join our work party on Sunday, December 7 from 11am-2pm. Invasive species don’t leave town for the holidays - help us remove them in Tryon Creek State Park! We will be visiting TCWC’s Adopt-A-Plot in the park and removing harmful invasives. Tools, gloves, and snacks provided. Wear pants, closed-toe shoes, and rain gear. All ages welcome, though volunteers under 18 require parental consent. Meet at the Nature Center (Tryon Creek State Park, 11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd, Portland, OR 97219)
