Dear Veggie Van Committee,

This is just a reminder that we'll be meeting from 6:00PM-7:30PM Tuesday, November 29 at Fosters.

Also, please remember to join our fundraising competition: http://www.razoo.com/team/Collards.   Just click on the "fundraise" link under "Join this team."  We have less than 1 month to compete in the competition, and the prizes are really great!  We still need 1 more person!!!  The holidays are a great time to fundraise!

It’s week two of the fundraiser and the standings so far….

Team Status
Collards (Team Captain Lindsey): 4 Fundraisers, $308 donated (needs 1 more members to qualify as a team)
Hot Peppers (Team Captain Cordon): 5 Fundraisers, $425 donated (average $85 per person)
Sweet Potatoes (Team Captain Sarah): 6 Fundraisers, $100 donated (average $17 per person)

Top Individual Fundraisers
1st Place: Cordon McGee with $425- she is doing all the work for Team Hot Peppers!
2nd Place: Ann Somers Wilton with $183
3rd Place: Jillian Mickens with $70

Suggestions for improving your fundraising efforts:
-       People are more likely to donate if they see that you have at least one or two donations already.  While donations on your own page don’t count towards your personal total, you can donate to others on your team.  Exchange donations with another team member (i.e., you donate to them and they donate to you in exchange) and you both benefit!
-      Add a donation widget with your fundraisers status to your e-mail signature
-      Send a mass e-mail to friends and family sharing your story about why you volunteer with CNP and how their donation will help- remind people that their donation is tax-deductible.
-      Add pictures and personal stories to your fundraising page.
-       Suggest amounts that people can donate and what we will get with that amount

For some reason I wrote down 7:30 pm in my calendar and showed up at Foster's - of course everyone was gone.
The good news is that I have lots of grants to write and other work happening right now. The challenge is that I need to slow down and read my emails more carefully.
