[a] Habitat Restoration at Lake Cunningham Park

Join us to restore habitat (weeding and mulching) in the Native Garden at Lake Cunningham Park. During the winter months, we weed, mulch and plant.
[b] Habitat Restoration at Cataldi Park

Join us to restore habitat in Cataldi Park, San Jose. We are planting and maintaining native plants in a 1/4-acre area of the park off Bethany Ave. We will be planting around 100 native plants between November - February. In preparation for planting, we will also be sheet mulching to control weeds.

Volunteers meet at the garden on Saturdays, weather permitting, for weeding, watering and other maintenance activities. Occasionally there will be other tasks such as mulching and planting.

Plant native seeds at Ed Levin County Park! This is a wonderful chance to participate in an easy and fun habitat restoration activity. Join parks staff in reseeding disturbed soil to prevent invasive plants by seeding with native wildflower and grass seed. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a hat, and bring a water bottle to fill. Start the New Year off right, helping make a local gem more beautiful and fire safe!

[3] Stories about Stewardship - by Open Space Authority

We will be hiking a gentle slope (distance 1.5 miles) to the top of Spreckels Hill and learn about historic land uses in the surrounding areas as well as how the Authority is working to restore this special place.
