Plant Sale Volunteers Needed

Our Fall Plant Sale is coming up soon on Saturday, October 17th, and there are some duties that need some volunteer help - especially parking detail. Please look through the list and let me know if you are able to assist in any of these areas.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Plant Sale, Saturday October 17th 10:00 - 3:00

Parking Volunteers: 

work 2-hour shifts between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM controlling both incoming and departing plant sale and Hidden Villa visitor traffic. Hidden Villa has several parking areas where volunteers will work, directing visitors to parking spaces and assisting motorists departing the property to ensure both pedestrian and vehicle safety and to provide for a smooth flow of traffic both into and out of the property. Each parking area has an experienced team member who will direct and coordinate volunteers in that area. Volunteers will be provided with orange safety vests and two-way radios with which to monitor and report the availability of parking spaces.

Set Up:  

We are looking for a couple of folks to help  set up tables, set  up 2 canopies, move plants around, hang up signs, and any other last minute actions. Time requirement would be 8:00 - 10:00 AM

Break Down:

We could use a couple of folks to help fold up and put away tables, disassemble canopies, pack up boxes, move back any left over plants.  Time needed would be 3:00 - 4:00 PM

Box Table Attendants:

This year we will have a table inside the gate to store those boxes that are brought in by customers themselves.   Customers can leave them on this table while they browse.  We would need two people to attend this table (one in the morning and one in the afternoon)  to make sure boxes and plants don't go missing.  Time needed would be 10:00 - 12:00 and 12:00 - 2:00.

Customer Attendants:

It would be great if a couple of people could volunteer to help customers who need assistance carrying plants and loading them into their cars.  Any time between 10:00 - 3:00 but the most critical time needed is between 10 - 12.
