Dear CNP Friends and Supporters,

As many of you know CNP has been running Cooking Matters classes in Orange County.  We are so excited to be able to offer this wonderful program in our area (see our website for more info).  We could not do this without the help of our many dedicated volunteers.  We have another class coming up at the end of this month and we need your help.  If you have been considering volunteering and have some time this summer we hope you will consider working with Cooking Matters.  The commitment is about 3 hours/week over 6 weeks.  The email below has details from Melissa about the Teen Class we will be running at Hargraves Community Center for which we need several volunteers.

If you have not volunteered with Cooking Matters before, click on the links below to find out more about the positions available.  If you are interested you can fill out and return the attached interest form to Melissa.

If you can’t volunteer, please forward this to others who might be able to help out!

Chef Instructors have professional training or experience in a commercial kitchen.  They lead the cooking portion of the class.

Nutrition Instructors have a degree or other educational background in nutrition.  They lead the nutrition education portion of the class.

Class Managers and Assistants work with the host site to coordinate and run classes.  They do not need to have any formal training in cooking or nutrition.

Food Managers are responsible collecting food for the class, maintaining the class budget and arranging take-home food for participants.

Hello Everyone!

CNP-Cooking Matters is looking for volunteers for the upcoming Cooking Matters for Teens class at the Hargraves Community Center in Chapel Hill.

The center is located at 216 North Roberson Street Chapel Hill.

The class will take place on Friday mornings from 10am - 12noon June 24th through July 29th 2011. It is required that volunteers be there by 9:30 to discuss plans for the class.   All volunteers also need to be available for a 2-hour team training the week before.

Date and time TBA.

Please contact me if you are able to assist with this class and any way possible.

If you are interested but can only make it to some of that classes, that is fine. We realize that this is an odd time of day but would really like to make the class happen for these wonderful children!

If you are not available for every day, please indicate which days you are not available (6/24, 7/1, 7/8, 7/15, 7/22, 7/29)

My email address is cmr...@gmail.com I thank you all for your interest in CNP.

All the best,

Melissa Reali
