We have a great project we are working on at Triangle Land Conservancy- the Healthy Choice's Garden. This is a really innovative project paring Triangle Land Conservancy with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. We are providing a 5 acre permanently protected site at our Irvin farm for the food shuttle to grow an organic garden which would supply fresh fruits and vegetables to their mobile food distribution system and help alleviate hunger in the Triangle. The site sits on the Orange/ Chatham line. This grant would help support important infrastructure for the project as well as potentially supply up to $100,000 in food to our local food shelter -IFFS.
