Dear APRICOT Supporters,

APIA would like to invite Engineers from the community with talent
to participate in the New APRICOT Logo Competition. The terms and
conditions of entry are listed on
http://www.apricot.net/docs/t+c-logo-comp.pdf

APIA who is the custodian of the APRICOT would like
to update/modify/change the logo to reflect APRICOT's current position
as the Leading Internet Summit in Asia Pacific for network operators.
The current logo designed by Mr. Bob Coggeshall on a voluntary basis
has been used since APRICOT started in 1996.

The new logo will be used for APRICOT 2013 in Singapore but will be
launched at APRICOT 2012 in New Delhi, India. The competition is open
now and will close on 31st October 2011.

APIA is offering the winning entry a complimentary ticket worth USD1,000
to attend APRICOT 2012 and an iconic Apple iPad2. More details about
APRICOT are enclosed in this e-mail.

Thank you and Best Wishes!

About APRICOT

Since its inception in 1996, the Asia Pacific Internet Conference
on Operational Technologies or more affectionally known by its
acronym, APRICOT has worked to establish itself, and is today recognized
as the Premier Internet Summit on Operational Technologies in Asia Pacific.

An annual Conference, APRICOT has been held 16 times across Asia Pacific
and has been hosted by 10 economies. It attracts on an average, 712
participants representing 37 economies. It also attracts an average of
26 organizational sponsors and supporters.

APRICOT has a humble beginning and relied heavily on the spirit
of volunteerism by many visionary individuals.

Mr. David Conrad, at the time the Director General of APNIC, saw the
early NANOGs taking place with great success in the US. NANOG was aimed
at the North American ISP market, with the rest of the world having
an equivalent. David suggested the Asia & Pacific region should have
its own Internet technical operations conference. Mr. Barry Greene, then
working for SingTel, convinced SingTel to support the event, and Mr.
Harish Pillay persuaded the Singapore Computer Society to sponsor it at
the RELC Centre in Singapore.

With venue, Internet connectivity, and sponsorship assured, a team
of volunteers constructed the terminal room, and Digital paid for
the catering, the first ever APRICOT took place early in 1996. The
first APRICOT social event was a visit to the Singapore Night Safari.

Today, the same spirit prevails in APRICOT.

Staying still true to its mission, APRICOT is the Conference that
Network Engineers across Asia Pacific look forward to attend to meet
with friends, peers and leaders in the industry and to benefit from the
knowledge, skill and experience sharing.
