Greetings CNL Family,
Are any of you involved in your hospital's Magnet or Pathways to Excellence designation? If so, how are you contributing?

Thank you,
Veronica

Thank you for the prompt responses to my posts! I currently serve in the dual roles of CNL Program Administrator and Magnet Program Director at my hospital. The purpose of my question was to assess CNL contribution to magnet/pathways in various organizations mainly to assess why no publications currently exist informing the world of this important benefit of our role. Can anyone find a publication regarding the CNL's impact on magnet/pathways designation? If so, please share the reference with me.

I just completed a manuscript with a fellow CNS that we are working on getting published. This manuscript highlights the CNL, CNS, and Nurse Educator's important role in magnet designation. In completing the literature search portion of the manuscript, we found a few CNS publications related to magnet but we could not find one publication regarding the CNL's impact on magnet or pathways designation. This surprised me and I'm hoping that it's my error because I know that CNLs GREATLY impact magnet designation at my facility alone. I challenge all CNLs working in magnet or pathways designated hospitals to publish your impact or contribution to your facility's designation. Ensure that you specifically call out either Magnet or Pathways in your publication. We've got to share the return on investing in our roles as much as possible. What are your thoughts?

Please "Reply All" so that everyone can read your response.

Thank you,
