Does anyone know any hospitals that are currently using a team nursing approach with RNs, LPNs, and CNAs? My hospital is currently hiring LPNs to help support the staffing crisis we are experiencing. We are in the process of attempting to differentiate the roles of the RNs and LPNs. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated!!!

I work as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (I am a CNL), my focus is education or anything deemed needed by my administration.
We use team nursing in Extended Care/Skilled Care.
The RN is the Team Leader: Taking off orders, scheduling, census, now recently covid screening notes and overseeing the unit flow. We might have two RN'S  on a shift.
The LPN is utilized to do medication pass and treatments and assists with ADL care. The LPN can work as a Nurses Aide if needed.
The Nurses Aide is responsible for ADL care,  bathing and getting residents out of bed.
All have documentation requirements.

I find our LPN's come to our organization with management experience and skills which sometimes do not get utilized due to practice constraints. They are a valuable team members and it is important to utilize them to their full capacity under the nurse practice act.

I hope this was helpful.
