Do not remember seeing this, but the depot/restaurant at Vandalia IL is a total
loss.
Was too dark for us to get any photos...........

Did the caboose that was supposed to be south of the depot survive?
Yes, the original side door caboose that was in front of the depot was moved a couple of streets over several years ago as the city claimed they owned it. There is an old transfer caboose where the side door caboose use to be. I'm not sure if it is an old IC caboose or not. It didn't have any markings on it that I noticed. The side door caboose is still in Vandalia.
