After years of slow but steady work, the CNI maintainers are pleased to announce version 1.0 has been released. This includes declaring v1.0 of the CNI specification, as well as releasing v1.0 of the CNI plugins project. Many thanks to all of the dedicated maintainers and occasional contributors -- you help keep this piece of the foundation strong.
Specification-wise, version 1.0
changes very little from the previous spec version, v0.4. There are some breaking changes to libcni, so runtime authors will have to make
some changes. End users don't need to do anything: libcni has always had full backwards compatibility.
Version 1.0 of the CNI-plugins project has also been released. This includes support for CNI spec v1.0. as well as making a stability declaration about the project.
Important: starting from v1.0, the cni-plugins project no longer includes flannel. This has been moved to its
own repository. Please take care when upgrading.
