Dear Mr. Sharma
We are pleased to inform you that the Investment Board of Government of Nepal is jointly organizing a workshop on Nepal Industrial benefits Plan with the developer of the 900 MW Upper Karnali Hydropower Project located on the Karnali River in the Surkhet, Dailekh and Achham districts of Nepal.
The Project Development Agreement entered into between the Government of Nepal, represented by the Investment Board of the Government of Nepal and GMR Upper Karnali Hydropower Limited and Karnali Transmission Company Private Limited on September 19, 2014 requires the GON and the Companies to jointly prepare the Nepal Industrial Benefits Plan in accordance with Schedule 17 (Nepal Industrial Benefits Plan Guidance Note).
In this regard, we are glad to share with you the details on the one-day workshop on 5th July 2017. The purpose of the workshop is to obtain the baseline information on industrial supplies and to provide the project updates to the relevant stakeholders. The technically qualified EPC bidders as shortlisted by GMR Upper Karnali Hydropower Limited will also be invited in the meeting. The major suppliers from Nepal can utilize the opportunity to interact with the shortlisted bidders for ensuring maximum participation of and benefits to Nepali Industries.
Your participation will be a valuable contribution to the successful conduction of the workshop.

Time: 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM, followed by Lunch
Venue: Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu
