Subject: Detail of Custom Duties
Dear All,
As per the suggestions forwarded by respected members, CNI has incorporated the issue of custom duties levied on industrial raw materials used in domestic production and the same (similar) finished products in its budget suggestion for coming Fiscal Year. The same issue was raised by our president, vice presidents and concerned members during the pre-budget discussion at Ministry of Finance at Singha Darbar a couple of weeks back.
In this regard, Ministry of Finance has asked us to send the detail of key industrial raw materials and finished products with applicable duties for their ready reference so that they may address our issues.
Therefore, it is our kind request to provide the detail in the attached data sheet latest by Tuesday (May 10, 2016) 28 Baishak 2073.

Please note that we have been asked by the government to provide the actual list of the custom/duties of raw material which are either equal or the difference is minimum than the finished products.
CNI had suggested the government that this is one of the hindrances in industrialization of Nepal. Pls provide specific list/examples of customs of raw material and finished products which needs to be reduced/changed by two steps in forthcoming budget.
The products could be any finished goods versus any raw materials which is being used by our member industries. Please send it to CNI so that we can work with the government to incorporate in forthcoming budget.
