Greetings From Confederation Of Nepalese Industries(CNI)!

 

The University of Nepal, established through the University of Nepal Act, 2024, is an autonomous university focused on Liberal Arts and Sciences and Philosphy. It has aimed at preparing globally competent and locally relevant graduates, equipped with a broad-based, interdisciplinary education, capable of pursuing open and critical inquiry into diverse creative applications of knowledge. The University has developed its curricula focused on critical thinking, problem-solving, and life skills in the changing world environment.

 

CNI has signed an MoU with the University to extend collaboration on industry-academia and help develop human resources, that address the existing market needs. The University is looking for generous hearts to create a “Pool Fund” that supports the following areas such as

 

-     Scholarships for deserving and qualified students, particularly from underrepresented disadvantaged and rural communities

-     Donating books, digital resources, equipment, or learning technologies to build a world-class academic environment. 

-       Supporting campus development and digital infrastructure.  For example, the CNI Classrooms, CNI Building, CNI Incubation Center, CNI Auditorium, and the CNI School of Arts and Sciences Building, among others.

-     Providing seed funding or endowment support to strengthen institutional governance, financial sustainability, and core academic functions. 

-       Contributing funds to research and scholarly activities.  For example, the CNI Science and Technology Research Lab, CNI Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Engineering Lab, etc.

-       Sponsoring endowment faculty chairs (as per the provision in the University of Nepal Act 2024, which allows the use of a sponsor’s name in faculty and chair positions).  For example, CNI Professor of Entrepreneurship, etc.
