Hi everyone!

I hope that those who attended FTC this past weekend had a lot of fun and gained a lot from the workshops and activities! I am writing to update you on our district Kiwanis Family programs and new resources for you to use to improve your Kiwanis Family relations.

I am writing to let you all know of a new Kiwanis Family program that has been put in place as of last Friday, called the Kiwanis Family Shadow Program. You can find more information about the program on page 4 of the attached issue of the Kiwanis Family Konnection (the district Kiwanis Family newsletter).

Also, for those who aren't aware, we currently have in place the Kiwanis Family Periods program. Each Circle K tenet is delegated to each season of the school year and the aim is to focus Kiwanis Family events during that season to fall into that tenet. However, that does not mean you can only have Kiwanis Family events that fall into a particular tenet during a particular season. We just want you to have a focus during each season, and provide suggestions for you in case you were looking for Kiwanis Family ideas to execute. The periods are as follows: Fall into Fellowship (Sept.-Nov.), Winter Wonderlead (Dec.-Feb.), and Spring into Service (Mar.-May). More information can be found in past issues of the Kiwanis Family Konnection (page 2 of the September issue, and page 3 of the October issue), which can be found here.

Other resources that are now available are also attached

The brand new Kiwanis Takeover Manual provides you with basically all the information you need to hold a Kiwanis Takeover. For those who don't know what a  Kiwanis Takeover is, it is a chance for your club to take over and run a meeting for your Kiwanis club. It is an opportunity to bond with your sponsoring Kiwanis club, to show them your appreciation, and to fund raise as well!

The CNH Kiwanis Family Directory contains the contact information for all Kiwanis, Key Club, and KIWIN'S LTGs, as well as the advisors of each Aktion Club in Cal-Nev-Ha. Also included are all the Builder's Clubs and K-Kids throughout the district and their sponsoring Kiwanis. The contact information for those two branches are not in the spreadsheet, but the Kiwanis Family Committee will be working on getting that information to you. We hope that this will make it easier for you to reach out and build more relations within the Kiwanis Family.

As always, if you have any more questions about these programs, please feel free to email me at kfa...@cnhcirclek.org or talk to me via AIM on the screen name cnhkfamily during my office hours (10-11pm on Wed.), or whenever you see me online.
