Hey Magic Kingdom!
Thanks so much for attending CKI South & the DCM last week and for attending Magic Kingdom Spirit Night this past Friday! :) Attached are the October DCM Agenda and also the Spirit Night List of Cheers.
I hope you all are excited for Fall Training Conference because it's coming up super quickly!
For those of you who are not attending Fall Training Conference, don't fret because there is a service project going on!:
Cypress Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
When: Friday, November 2 from 6:30am until 9:00am
Where: Vessels Elementary School in Cypress, CA
What: Sad that you cannot attend Fall Training Conference? Well come out and help the Cypress Kiwanis with their Pancake Breakfast! They are expecting to serve 400 breakfasts during this time and they will need help making the pancakes, serving drinks, and refilling stations. So come out and do some community service!
I will have someone be in charge of the volunteers since I will be at Fall Training Conference. That way, things will be all organized while I am gone :)
FALL TRAINING CONFERENCE ATTENDEES: Please remember to drive safely and do NOT rush to get to Sonora, CA! We want everyone to arrive safely! Drivers, if you get tired, PLEASE SWITCH OFF! I know that this is the first time for many of you who are traveling up there so please get directions beforehand! Look for Circle K signs! If you have any questions please try and contact me BEFORE Friday! I will be going to Sonora a day early and so might have be able to have phone reception so it's best if you contact me before Friday!
PACKING: We will be staying in cabins so you do not have to worry about beds, but here is a list of things that you might want to pack:
- Sleeping bag
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditionditioner, etc.)
- Flashlight (comes in handy because at night it gets really dark)
- Good shoes with grip (tennis shoes, boots, etc.)
- Extra blankets
- Pillow
- Long sleeve shirts, Coats (From my experience, it has always been cold there)
- Club T-shirts (worn on Saturday) and Magic Kingdom shirts (worn on Sunday; if you didn't purchase one, bring your own red t-shirt to represent Magic Kingdom!)
REMINDERS: We have the privilege of having this event every year and so please be on your best behavior. We will represent our home clubs and Magic Kingdom to the utmost prestige and we will show how spirited and respectful we are. Please go to the workshops when you're supposed to, listen to all of the SAAs, Faculty Advisors, Kiwanis, and District Board. We want this event to go smoothly and so it will take your help to do that. DO NOT bring anything that you know that you are not supposed to bring. Please use your common sense. I trust all of you know what is appropriate and what isn't! Finally, GET READY FOR A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER! IT WILL BE AMAZING! :D
Again, if you have any more questions, please contact me ASAP!
Thanks for a great week, Magic Kingdom! See you all soon! :)
